Alarms & troubleshooting

INV_FAULT (Inverter Fault / Transfer to Bypass)
Fault LED solid Red, Bypass LED solid Amber, Inverter LED Off, continuous buzzer
Inverter IGBT bridge failure, DC bus over/under voltage, or output short circuit forcing static bypass
1. Inspect load distribution for short circuits or extreme inrush currents. 2. Retrieve specific Fault Log codes via the LCD/monitoring interface. 3. Disconnect non-critical loads and attempt manual inverter restart. 4. If the fault persists, retain bypass mode and replace the inverter power board/driver module.
BATT_EOD (Battery End of Discharge Shutdown)
Battery LED flashing Red (1Hz), Fault LED solid Red, LCD backlight blinking
Prolonged mains outage; battery discharged to the End of Discharge threshold, triggering output cutoff to prevent cell damage
1. Inspect upstream AC breakers and verify incoming mains utility status. 2. Restore AC input; the UPS will automatically recover and initiate battery recharge. 3. If mains is present but EOD triggered erroneously, measure terminal voltage at the DC breaker and check battery internal resistance. 4. Replace aged or failed battery blocks.
OUTPUT_OVERLOAD (Output Overload Alarm)
Fault LED flashing Amber (0.5Hz), LCD shows overload percentage over limit, rapid periodic buzzer
Downstream load expansion, startup inrush of inductive/capacitive equipment, exceeding the 10kVA/10kW rating
1. Check branch PDU current meters to identify newly added heavy loads. 2. Shed non-critical IT equipment to bring total load below 80% capacity. 3. Monitor the LCD overload timer to prevent forced transfer to bypass. 4. Plan for capacity upgrade or configure a Liebert ITA2 1+1 parallel system if demand persists.
REC_AC_FAIL (Mains Rectifier Input Failure / Phase Loss)
Line LED Off or flashing, Battery LED solid Amber (battery discharging), buzzer beeps once every 4 seconds
Mains blackout, input breaker trip, incorrect phase sequence, or AC voltage/frequency exceeding rectifier range (176V-288Vac)
1. Measure voltage across L1/L2/L3 and Neutral with a multimeter to verify mains presence. 2. Inspect upstream input breaker and surge protection devices (SPD). 3. Verify wire terminations and correct phase sequence rotation. 4. If input parameters measure nominal, recalibrate the rectifier sampling circuit or reload firmware.
OVER_TEMP (Internal Overtemperature Fault)
Fault LED solid Red, cooling fans running at 100% full speed, LCD displays Overtemperature
Ambient temperature exceeding 40°C, blocked air intake/exhaust grilles, clogged dust filters, or cooling fan failure
1. Verify precision air conditioner operation and ensure ambient temperature is within 20°C-25°C. 2. Clean front and rear dust filters, maintaining at least 200mm clearance around air passages. 3. Check fan RPM status via LCD diagnostics to spot stalled fan units. 4. Replace malfunctioning axial cooling fans or defective internal thermistors.
