Alarms & troubleshooting

INV_FAULT (Inverter Fault / Er05)
Fault LED solid red, Bypass LED solid amber, Inverter LED off, continuous buzzer tone
Inverter IGBT breakdown, drive circuit abnormality, or output voltage feedback failure forcing load transfer to bypass
1. Confirm the critical load is stably powered via bypass and record secondary fault codes on the LCD; 2. Disconnect AC input and shut down UPS; wait at least 5 minutes for bus capacitors to discharge; 3. Restart the unit for self-test; if Er05 persists, the inverter power assembly is defective and requires replacement.
BATT_OPEN (Battery Disconnected / Open Circuit / bAtt)
Battery LED flashing amber, Warning indicator active, buzzer beeps once every 2 seconds
Internal/external battery breaker tripped, rear DC connector unseated, DC fuse blown, or battery string depleted/open-circuit
1. Inspect rear panel and external battery cabinet (EBC) DC connectors to ensure they are locked tightly; 2. Measure battery terminal open-circuit DC voltage with a digital multimeter to ensure it matches string nominal rating (typically 24VDC or 36VDC for 1kVA); 3. Check continuity of internal DC fuses; if individual block voltages are below cutoff levels, replace the battery cartridge.
OVERLOAD (Output Overload / Er07)

Connected load exceeds UPS rated capacity (>105% prolonged, or >130% peak limit), forcing inverter thermal shutdown to protect hardware
1. Immediately disconnect non-critical IT/telecom equipment to reduce both apparent and real power demand; 2. Check the LCD load percentage bar to confirm total load drops below 80% of rated capacity; 3. Press 'OFF' to clear the alarm, then 'ON' to restore inverter output; if overload reoccurs, inspect downstream PDU/branch circuits for short circuits.
OVER_TEMP (Over-Temperature Fault / Er08)
Fault LED solid red, temperature icon illuminated, buzzer beeps once per second, unit transfers to bypass
Ambient rack temperature exceeds 40°C rating, internal cooling fan stalled/failed, or front/rear airflow grilles severely obstructed
1. Inspect rack ventilation paths to ensure minimum 100mm clearance in front and rear of the chassis; 2. Check rear exhaust fan operation for abnormal noise, obstruction, or complete fan failure; 3. Verify data room HVAC temperature and clean air grilles; allow internal heatsinks to cool before clearing the fault or restarting the inverter.
BUS_FAULT (DC Bus Voltage Fault / Er01)
Fault LED solid red, LCD toggles Er01 with high bus icon, continuous buzzer, output isolated or locked in bypass
Mains transient surge spike, PFC boost circuit driver breakdown, or bulk electrolytic capacitor failure pushing DC bus above safety threshold (>450VDC)
1. Disconnect upstream AC input breaker and isolate all connected telecom loads; 2. Leave unit de-energized for at least 10 minutes to allow DC bus capacitors to discharge to a safe voltage; 3. Inspect input SPD and verify mains voltage stability (160VAC-280VAC); re-apply utility power, and if Er01 immediately reappears, replace the internal PFC/mainboard assembly.
