AC_MAINS_FAIL (AC Mains Failure)
Rectifier Green LED Off, Yellow LED Solid or Flashing; Smartpack controller Alarm LED Lit.
AC feed breaker tripped, grid power loss, voltage outside 85–300VAC range, or loose subrack rear AC connector.
1. Measure AC input voltage at the subrack rear terminal, verifying it is within 85–300VAC. 2. Inspect the upstream AC distribution breaker and reset if tripped. 3. Unseat module and check subrack rear blind-mate connectors for bent pins or arcing damage. 4. If AC voltage is verified normal, swap module with a known-good Flatpack2 rectifier.
OVP_LOCKOUT (DC High Voltage Shutdown Lockout)
Rectifier Red LED Solid On, Green LED Off; Controller logs 'Rectifier HVSD' alarm.
Internal voltage loop failure, transient external DC surge, or hardware selective HVSD comparator tripped (>59.5V for 48V models).
1. Check Smartpack alarm log to verify peak DC bus voltage and identify the specific locked module slot. 2. Disengage the faulted module from the subrack, wait 60 seconds for internal discharge, then reseat it to reset latch. 3. Observe module restart behavior; if Red LED immediately relatches, internal hardware is compromised and module must be replaced. 4. Verify the Smartpack OVP threshold is set correctly above the system equalization voltage.
TEMP_SHUTDOWN (Module High Temperature Shutdown)
Rectifier Yellow LED Solid On, internal fan running at maximum speed; Smartpack indicates 'Rectifier Over Temperature'.
Ambient inlet temperature exceeding 75°C, blocked subrack front/rear airflow path, or heavy dust accumulation on internal heat sinks.
1. Verify room HVAC operation to ensure inlet cold aisle temperature is below 45°C. 2. Clear any cabling or obstacles obstructing airflow at front inlet slots and rear exhaust vents of the subrack. 3. Remove the overheated module and blow out dust from the heatsink using clean, dry compressed air. 4. The module will automatically restart once cooled; replace module if thermal fault persists at ambient room temperature (defective internal NTC sensor).
FAN_FAIL (Rectifier Fan Failure)
Rectifier Yellow LED Flashing (0.5Hz), Green LED Lit (derated) or Off; Smartpack controller logs fan alarm.
Mechanical bearing wear/lockup, debris jamming the impeller, tachometer feedback signal loss, or internal fan driver fault.
1. Visually check the front intake grill of the affected Flatpack2 to verify if the fan is stationary. 2. Disengage the module and verify that no wire clippings, cable ties, or debris are jamming the fan blades. 3. Manually spin the impeller; if it feels stiff or grinds, the bearings are degraded. 4. Replace the rectifier module with a spare unit, and send the defective module for fan replacement.
CAN_COMM_ERR (CAN Bus Communication Lost)
Rectifier Green LED Flashing slowly (1s on / 1s off); Smartpack controller indicates 'Module Communication Lost'.
Subrack backplane CAN pin contact defect, missing or damaged 120Ω CAN termination resistor, loose RJ45 interconnect cable, or blown CAN transceiver IC.
1. Firmly unseat and reseat the Flatpack2 module to ensure backplane signal pins make solid contact. 2. Inspect the subrack RJ45 CAN interconnect cables and verify the 120-ohm bus termination plug is correctly seated. 3. Run 'Register/Search Rectifiers' routine from the Smartpack controller interface to re-address modules. 4.
