What this product is
The Vertiv Liebert DME12MCP5 is a high-reliability direct expansion (DX) air-cooled precision air conditioner engineered for mission-critical IT infrastructure, featuring high airflow, low enthalpy difference cooling, an SHR ≥ 0.90, and an electronically commutated (EC) backward-curved centrifugal fan for continuous 24/7/365 thermal regulation.
What problem it solves
The Vertiv Liebert DME12MCP5 indoor unit incorporates a compact footprint of 800×500 mm with complete front-access serviceability, specifically designed for enterprise branch server rooms, telecom base stations, and electrical control rooms. Engineered with eco-friendly R410A refrigerant, the system delivers a nominal cooling capacity of 12.5 kW, effectively minimizing unneeded dehumidification and latent energy waste.
The mechanical architecture integrates a continuously variable EC centrifugal fan paired with an industrial-grade scroll compressor, modulating airflow in real-time according to thermal loads to drive down fan power consumption. Electrically, it accepts wide-input 380V/400V 3-phase AC power with built-in phase-sequence auto-correction, thermal-magnetic overcurrent trip protection, and integrated transient surge suppression.
Thermal management is orchestrated by the proprietary Liebert microprocessor controller, featuring an onboard RS-485 interface running standard Modbus-RTU, with optional Web/SNMP interface cards for full DCIM integration. It enables teamworking of up to 32 units, supporting standby rotation, cascade activation, and fail-safe automated switchover under extreme industrial operating conditions.
