Alarms & troubleshooting

AC_IN_FAIL (AC Input Failure / Out of Range)
Green LED OFF, Amber LED solid ON, Red LED OFF
Utility AC outage, input breaker tripped, or AC voltage below 80Vac / above 300Vac threshold.
1. Measure AC input terminal voltage on the backplane with a multimeter to verify it is within 85Vac-290Vac nominal range. 2. Inspect the upstream AC input circuit breaker (MCB) for tripping or loose termination. 3. Reseat the rectifier module firmly into the slot; if the fault persists with valid AC supply, replace the module.
DC_OVP_LOCK (Output Overvoltage Hardware Lockout / HVSD)
Green LED OFF, Amber LED OFF, Red LED solid ON
Internal PWM control feedback failure or voltage regulation fault causing DC bus to exceed hardware threshold (59.5V±0.5V), latching the module off.
1. Unplug the faulted module from the subrack and wait for internal capacitors to discharge (all LEDs completely OFF). 2. Reseat the module to reset the hardware lockout latch and observe if voltage stabilizes at normal operating level (53.5V). 3. If the red LED turns solid ON immediately upon insertion, internal power stage is damaged; replace the module.
MOD_OTP (Over-Temperature Protection / Thermal Shutdown)
Amber LED solid ON, Green LED blinking or OFF
Ambient temperature exceeding 65°C, or severe dust clogging the front/rear air mesh, exceeding thermal limits.
1. Check room air conditioning and ensure ambient cabinet temperature is lowered below 45°C. 2. Clean the module intake grilles and rear subrack exhaust vents using compressed air or an anti-static brush. 3. Allow the module heatsink to cool down; the unit will auto-recover once temperature falls within nominal limits.
FAN_FAIL (Cooling Fan Stall / Speed Fault)
Red LED blinking or solid ON, Amber LED solid ON
Internal DC fan seized due to bearing wear, physical obstruction, or open tachometer feedback circuit.
1. Remove the module and inspect the fan blades for foreign objects, cable ties, or debris causing stall. 2. Gently spin the fan blades manually to verify smooth mechanical rotation. 3. Reinsert the module; if the fan fails to spin up or tachometer alarm persists, replace the fan unit or module.
CAN_COMM_ERR (CAN-bus Communication Failure & Current Share Fault)
Amber LED blinking slowly (0.5Hz), Green LED solid ON
Poor contact on gold-finger CAN pins, system controller (NCU/SCU) offline, CAN address collision, or open terminal resistor.
1. Verify that the supervisory controller (NCU/SCU) is powered up and operating without system communication errors. 2. Reseat the module firmly and inspect/clean backplane gold-finger connector pins for oxidation or deformation. 3. Rescan slots via the controller interface; if other rectifiers communicate properly, replace the defective module.
