Alarms & troubleshooting

AC_IN_FAIL (AC Input Abnormal/Interrupted)
Green RUN LED off, Yellow ALM LED steady on
Grid AC power blackout, AC input voltage <85 VAC or >300 VAC, input AC circuit breaker tripped, or loose power connector pin.
1. Measure AC input terminal voltage using a true-RMS multimeter to verify it is within 85 VAC to 300 VAC. 2. Check whether the rectifier's dedicated AC miniature circuit breaker (MCB) has tripped; reset after verifying no short circuit exists. 3. Reseat the rectifier module to inspect backplane connector pins for physical damage, oxidation, or loose insertion.
OUT_OVP (DC Output Overvoltage Lockout)
Green RUN LED off, Red FAULT LED steady on
Internal voltage control loop failure, current sharing imbalance causing output to exceed hardware overvoltage threshold (>58.5 VDC to 60 VDC), causing latched shutdown.
1. Disconnect AC input or pull the module out for 3 minutes to discharge internal bulk capacitors, then reseat to reset the hardware lockout. 2. If the red LED turns on immediately upon power-up, the internal power stage or PWM sensing circuit is permanently damaged. 3. Verify whether the system DC bus voltage is pushed high by another faulty parallel unit; if isolated to this module, replace it immediately.
OVER_TEMP (Over-Temperature / Thermal Derating)
Green RUN LED steady on, Yellow ALM LED steady on (Output shuts off if threshold exceeded)
Ambient temperature >55°C, air inlet/outlet vents blocked by dust or foreign objects, hot air recirculation, or excessive dust on internal heatsinks.
1. Inspect site HVAC cooling to ensure front ambient temperature at the rack intake is reduced below 45°C. 2. Clean the rectifier front intake grille and cabinet exhaust path to remove dust, lint, and debris obstructing airflow. 3. Allow the module to cool down to trigger auto-recovery; if over-temperature persists at ambient 25°C, replace the module due to a failed internal NTC sensor.
FAN_FAIL (Fan Blocked / Fan Failure)
Red FAULT LED blinking (0.5 Hz) or Yellow ALM LED blinking
DC brushless fan bearing seized or blocked by foreign objects, fan power wire disconnected, tachometer Hall signal loss, or fan driver circuitry failure.
1. Visually check if fan blades are spinning; clear any physical obstruction or lint from the impeller using clean compressed air. 2. Gently spin the fan blades manually while powered down; if high mechanical resistance is felt, the bearing is seized. 3. Issue a manual fan test command from the SMU monitoring controller; if the fan fails to spin at maximum speed, replace the fan assembly or entire rectifier.
COMM_FAIL (CAN Bus Communication Loss / Current Sharing Failure)
Green RUN LED blinking (0.5 Hz), Yellow ALM LED blinking or steady on
Poor pin contact on backplane CAN_H/CAN_L communication pins, monitoring unit (SMU/PMU) fault, CAN bus termination resistor fault, or damaged transceiver IC.
1. Check the monitoring controller (e.g., SMU02B/SMU02C) to confirm whether all rectifiers or only this single unit report communication loss. 2. Reseat the module, inspecting backplane CAN signal pins for bent contacts, corrosion, or contamination; clean and seat firmly. 3. Trigger a manual device re-scan on the SMU; if the module remains unmanaged and runs in autonomous default mode (53.5 V), replace the rectifier module.
