AC_FAIL (AC Mains Failure)
SMU controller ALM LED steady RED; all rectifier green RUN LEDs OFF, yellow/red LEDs ON or OFF depending on battery backup status.
Mains utility outage, upstream AC circuit breaker tripped, or loose/disconnected AC input terminal wiring.
1. Measure AC input terminal voltage using a multimeter to confirm utility power status. 2. Inspect the upstream AC input breaker and subrack AC switch; reset after verifying no short circuit. 3. Verify and tighten all AC input terminal connections according to specified torque values.
DC_LOW_VOLT (DC Bus Undervoltage & LLVD)
SMU ALM LED steady RED; audible buzzer active; LLVD/BLVD contactor open; rectifier yellow LED blinking or red LED steady.
Prolonged AC power outage causing battery discharge below threshold (-45V DC default), or total rectifier failure under load.
1. Verify AC utility recovery; if unavailable, dispatch a portable mobile generator immediately. 2. Check SMU LCD parameter settings for LLVD/BLVD threshold limits (default -45.0V DC). 3. Once AC is restored, verify rectifiers initiate battery boost charge; manually acknowledge breaker re-engagement via SMU if required.
REC_OV_LOCK (Rectifier Overvoltage Lockout)
Faulty rectifier red ALM LED steady ON, green RUN LED OFF; SMU reports Rectifier Overvoltage Lockout alarm for slot.
Internal PWM loop failure, optocoupler breakdown in feedback circuit, or output voltage exceeding HW threshold (>-58.5V DC).
1. Remove the alarmed rectifier module, wait 5 seconds to discharge internal bus caps, then reinsert to perform hardware reset. 2. If the red LED remains lit or the lock recurs immediately, the internal power circuit is permanently damaged. 3. Replace the faulty unit with a certified spare rectifier of matching model and rating (e.g., R4830G / R4850G).
REC_COMM_FAIL (Rectifier Communication Failure)
SMU controller yellow ALM LED ON; rectifier yellow ALM LED blinking at 0.5Hz; green RUN LED steady ON (module runs in autonomous mode).
Bent or misaligned CAN bus backplane pins, poor backplane edge-connector contact with SMU, or damaged CAN transceiver.
1. Reseat the rectifier firmly, ensuring the latch is securely locked into the subrack backplane. 2. If the alarm persists, swap the module into an adjacent slot to isolate whether the issue is the backplane pin or the module. 3. Inspect the SMU controller edge connector for dust or oxidation, clean with isopropyl alcohol, reseat, and reboot the SMU.
REC_TEMP_HIGH (Rectifier Over-Temperature Shutdown)
Rectifier yellow ALM LED steady ON (derating) or red ALM LED steady ON (thermal shutdown); fan operating at max RPM or locked.
Dust filter severely clogged, cabinet ambient temperature exceeding 55°C, cooling fan failure/jammed, or exhaust blocked.
1. Inspect subrack front air intake filter and module grills; clean off all accumulated dust and debris. 2. Verify telecom room / outdoor cabinet HVAC/heat exchanger operation to bring inlet temperature below 40°C. 3. Check rectifier fan rotation; if mechanically jammed or defective, replace the cooling fan assembly or swap the rectifier module.
