Alarms & troubleshooting

HP_ALM (Compressor High Pressure Alarm)
Alarm LED solid red, buzzer sounds continuously
Outdoor condenser fan failure, condenser coil fouled with dust, excessive refrigerant charge, thermal expansion valve opening too small, or high-pressure switch failure.
1. Inspect outdoor condenser fins and clean off dirt/debris; 2. Check condenser fan speed controller output and motor power supply; 3. Check high-pressure switch wiring and press manual reset if tripped; 4. Connect manifold gauges to measure discharge pressure; recover excess refrigerant to specification if overcharged.
LP_ALM (Compressor Low Pressure Alarm)
Alarm LED flashes amber/red, compressor shuts down
Refrigerant loss via pipeline leak, dirty air filter causing poor evaporation/freezing, clogged filter-drier, electronic expansion valve failure, or faulty low-pressure switch.
1. Inspect indoor return air filter; clean or replace if clogged; 2. Check evaporator coil for ice build-up; 3. Connect manifold gauge to suction port; use leak detector or nitrogen pressure test to find and repair leaks; 4. Replace liquid line filter-drier, evacuate system below 500 microns, and recharge refrigerant.
AIR_LOSS (Indoor Fan Loss of Airflow Alarm)
Alarm LED solid red, heater and humidifier safety interlock activated
Indoor EC fan circuit breaker tripped, 0-10V/PWM control signal wire disconnected, fan belt broken/slipping (belt-drive units), differential pressure tube detached, or motor thermal overload failure.
1. Inspect indoor fan circuit breaker and reset if tripped; 2. Manually rotate fan wheel to check for mechanical binding or bearing noise; 3. Inspect air differential pressure switch sampling silicone tubes for clogging or disconnection; 4. Measure speed control voltage (0-10VDC) from main board; replace EC fan if voltage is present but fan does not run.
WATER_HI (Condensate High Level / Leak Alarm)
Alarm LED solid red, cooling and humidification interlocked off
Condensate drain pipe clogged, condensate removal pump power loss or pump failure, float level switch stuck, or floor water sensing cable shorted by water contact.
1. Inspect condensate drain pan and tubing; clear out any algae, slime, or foreign debris; 2. Check power supply to the condensate pump and verify pump impeller rotates freely; 3. Inspect float switch inside the pan to ensure it moves smoothly and test continuity; 4. Check floor water leak sensing cable, dry up moisture, and ensure cable is undamaged.
T_H_SENS_ERR (Return Air Temp & Humidity Sensor Fault)
Alarm LED solid amber, unit switches to fail-safe default mode
RS485 communication timeout between return air sensor and main controller, terminal block wiring loose, DC12V/24V power drop, or internal sensor element failure.
1. Inspect sensor wiring harness and re-tighten 4-pin screw terminals (+V, GND, A+, B-); 2. Use a multimeter to verify DC12V-24V power supply at sensor terminals; 3. Verify sensor Modbus DIP switch address matches system controller configuration; 4. If wiring and power are verified but readings remain abnormal (-40°C or 99% RH), replace with genuine Haiwu sensor module.
