Alarms & troubleshooting

AC_IN_FAIL (AC Mains Failure / Abnormal)
Green Run LED OFF, Yellow Protection LED ON (or all LEDs OFF if unpowered and no DC backfeed)
AC mains outage, input breaker tripped, or AC voltage out of range (<80VAC undervoltage or >305VAC overvoltage shutdown).
1. Measure the AC input voltage at the backplane/terminal with a multimeter to verify it is within operating limits (85VAC–290VAC). 2. Inspect the upstream AC input miniature circuit breaker (MCB) for trip or loose wiring. 3. If input voltage is normal, reseat the module to ensure proper connector engagement; replace the rectifier if the fault persists.
DC_OVP_LOCK (DC Output Overvoltage Lockout)
Red Alarm LED solid ON, Green Run LED OFF
Internal PWM loop failure or output voltage exceeding hardware threshold (typically 59.5V ± 0.5VDC), triggering latching shutdown to protect telecom load.
1. Disconnect the module by unlatching or switching off its AC breaker; wait 3 minutes for bus capacitors to discharge, then re-energize. 2. Verify the system controller's float/equalize voltage setpoints to ensure they do not exceed safe operational limits. 3. If the module trips into OVP lockout immediately upon restart, the internal feedback loop has failed; replace the rectifier module.
OTP_SHUTDOWN (Over-Temperature Shutdown)
Yellow Protection LED flashing (derating) transitioning to solid ON (shutdown); Green Run LED turns OFF
High ambient shelter/room temperature (>55°C), clogged front air dust filters, blocked airflow paths, or internal heatsink exceeding thermal threshold.
1. Check the shelter air conditioning to confirm ambient air intake temperature is within rated limits (-40°C to +55°C). 2. Remove and clean the subrack dust filter, and use compressed dry air to clear dust buildup from the module's air grilles. 3. Allow the module to cool down and observe if it automatically recovers; if it reoccurs in cool ambient air, inspect fan speed and thermal NTC sensors.
FAN_FAIL (Rectifier Fan Failure / Locked Rotor)
Red Alarm LED flashing (1Hz) or solid ON, Yellow Protection LED ON
Fan bearing wear/seizure, foreign object obstructing fan blades, disconnected internal fan cable, or missing tachometer pulse feedback.
1. Visually check the front fan; verify if the blades are completely stopped or producing abnormal mechanical scraping noise. 2. Power off, remove the module, and use a non-conductive probe to gently turn the fan blades to clear any debris or lint. 3. If the impeller spins freely by hand but fails to spin under load or the alarm persists, replace the fan assembly or the entire module.
CAN_COMM_FAIL (CAN Communication Loss & Current Sharing Error)
Yellow Protection LED flashing, Green Run LED ON, Controller indicates Rectifier Comm Failure
Poor contact on backplane CAN pins, CAN baud rate mismatch, duplicated module address assignment, or open-circuit bus termination resistor.
1. Reseat the module and inspect the gold-finger connectors on the backplane for bent, oxidized, or dirty CAN-H/CAN-L pins. 2. In the system supervisory unit (e.g., M221S/M222S controller), run the 'Rectifier Search / Auto Re-address' utility. 3. Measure CAN bus resistance with system unpowered (nominal ~60Ω across CAN-H and CAN-L with terminal resistors); replace module if bus is intact.
