AC_FAIL (AC Mains Failure / Undervoltage)
Green LED OFF, Yellow LED ON or OFF (Red LED ON on controller if system on battery)
Utility mains blackout; upstream AC MCB tripped; input voltage below 85VAC; damaged chassis AC blind-mate connector pin.
1. Measure AC input terminal voltage using a true-RMS DMM; verify it is within 85–300VAC. 2. Check upstream AC circuit breakers and AC surge protective devices (SPD). 3. Reseat the rectifier module to verify proper engagement with the rear backplane connector.
HVSD / OVP (High Voltage Shutdown / Output Overvoltage)
Green LED OFF, Red Alarm LED Solid ON
Internal voltage loop failure or shorted power components; DC bus transient >59.5VDC; compromised current share causing voltage run-away.
1. Unseat the faulted module from the power shelf for at least 30 seconds to discharge and reset the latch. 2. Measure DC bus voltage to ensure it is within normal float limits (<56.5VDC). 3. Reinsert the module; if the Red LED immediately latches ON, replace the defective rectifier unit.
OVER_TEMP (High Temperature / Thermal Shutdown)
Yellow LED Solid ON (derating); Green LED OFF and Red/Yellow LED ON (shutdown)
Ambient temperature exceeding +65°C; clogged air intake grill or dust filter; chassis ventilation obstructed; HVAC failure.
1. Verify site HVAC operational status to bring ambient temperature below 45°C. 2. Clean front-panel intake perforations and air filters using a vacuum or compressed air. 3. Ensure minimum 100mm clearance front/rear for airflow; unit will auto-recover once heatsink cools down.
FAN_FAIL (Cooling Fan Fault / Speed Error)
Green LED ON, Yellow LED Flashing (1Hz) or Solid ON
Fan rotor mechanically blocked by debris; internal fan connector loose; damaged tachometer Hall sensor; fan bearing degradation causing low RPM.
1. Extract the module and visually inspect the fan rotor for obstructions; manually spin blades to ensure free rotation. 2. Reinsert unit into chassis and verify fan spins up during the initial power-on self-test. 3. If fan remains stationary or continues reporting tachometer faults, replace the fan assembly or rectifier.
CAN_COMM_FAIL (CAN Bus Communication Loss / Comm Timeout)
Green LED ON, Yellow LED Flashing slowly (0.5Hz, autonomous failsafe mode)
Smartpack S controller offline or unresponsive; bent or corroded CAN-H/CAN-L pins on power backplane; missing 120-ohm bus terminator; defective internal CAN transceiver.
1. Verify Smartpack S controller is fully booted, healthy, and showing active rectifiers on the UI. 2. Eject the module and inspect signal contacts for corrosion, debris, or bent pins. 3. Insert into an alternate shelf slot; if communication remains unestablished, replace the module.
