AC_MAINS_FAIL (AC Input Voltage Out of Range)
Power LED (Green) OFF, Alarm LED (Red) Solid ON
AC input voltage is out of range (<85 VAC or >300 VAC), upstream breaker tripped, or loose power connector on the subrack backplane.
1. Measure AC voltage across L and N terminals at the module slot using a true-RMS DMM (nominal 85-300 VAC). 2. Inspect the AC distribution unit (ACDU) circuit breaker or fuse dedicated to this rectifier position. 3. Unseat module, inspect blind-mate rear connector pins for thermal discoloration or arcing, and firmly reseat.
DC_OVP_SHUTDOWN (DC High Voltage Selective Shutdown)
Power LED (Green) OFF, Alarm LED (Red) Solid ON (Latched)
Rectifier internal sensor detected output voltage exceeding hardware selective shutdown threshold (typically 59.5 VDC), latching the unit off to protect loads and batteries.
1. Pull the latched rectifier module out of the shelf and wait 30 seconds to allow internal capacitors to discharge and reset the latch. 2. Verify the float/boost voltage target on the Smartpack S controller (nominal 53.5V to 56.4V DC). 3. Re-insert the module; if the red LED re-latches immediately, the internal regulation loop or power stage is damaged; replace the module.
OVER_TEMP (High Internal Temperature / Thermal Shutdown)
Warning LED (Yellow) Flashing during derating; Alarm LED (Red) Solid ON upon thermal shutdown
Intake ambient air temperature exceeds rating (>55°C derating threshold, >75°C shutdown), subrack air filter clogged, or thermal hot-air recirculation occurs inside the cabinet.
1. Verify shelter HVAC cooling operation and measure ambient intake temperature (recommended between +25°C and +45°C). 2. Clean or replace clogged dust filters on the cabinet door and remove debris from the module's front intake grill. 3. Verify that blanking plates are installed on all unused shelf positions to prevent hot exhaust air recirculation.
FAN_FAIL (Rectifier Cooling Fan Locked Rotor / Speed Error)
Alarm LED (Red) Flashing (1Hz) or Solid ON, Power LED (Green) ON
Internal brushless DC fan obstructed by foreign debris, fan tachometer signal lost, or bearing failure causing speed below lower threshold.
1. Withdraw the module from the slot and visually inspect through the front grill for mechanical blockage or hair/dust binding the fan. 2. Gently spin blades to verify smooth bearing movement; clear internal chamber using dry compressed air. 3. Re-seat module and power up; if the fan fails its initial POST spin test or red LED persists, replace the fan assembly or entire rectifier module.
CAN_COMM_FAIL (CAN Bus Communication Loss / Missing Module)
Power LED (Green) Solid ON, Warning LED (Yellow) Slow Flashing (0.5Hz)
Communication between the rectifier and Smartpack controller interrupted due to bent/oxidized CAN pins on the backplane, missing end-of-line 120Ω termination resistor, or address conflict.
1. Open the Smartpack S controller interface (GUI/Web) to locate the offline rectifier index and slot position. 2. Eject the rectifier and inspect signal contact pins (CAN_H, CAN_L, and module ID pins) on the backplane connector for bending or oxidation. 3. Verify the 120Ω CAN bus termination jumper is in place at both ends of the power shelf; reseat the unit firmly and observe if yellow LED extinguishes within 15 seconds.
