Alarms & troubleshooting

AC_FAIL (AC Mains Input Failure)
Power LED (Green) OFF, Alarm LED (Yellow) ON or Fault LED (Red) solid ON
AC grid power outage, input voltage out of operational range (<85VAC or >300VAC), module input breaker tripped, or backplane connector pin poor contact
1. Measure AC input phase voltage at the shelf terminals with a multimeter to verify it is within 85VAC-300VAC. 2. Inspect front AC distribution breakers and verify the dedicated module circuit breaker is closed. 3. Reseat the rectifier module, checking the blind-mate backplane connectors for burn marks, bent pins, or debris.
DC_OVP (DC Output Overvoltage Lockout)
Fault LED (Red) solid ON, Power LED (Green) OFF
Internal PWM feedback circuit failure, optocoupler breakdown, supervisor OVP threshold misconfiguration, or external voltage backfeed triggering hardware latch protection (>59.5VDC)
1. Withdraw the faulted rectifier module from the subrack and wait 30 seconds for bus capacitors to discharge and reset the latch. 2. Verify the system controller (CSU) float voltage and OVP settings are set correctly (typically 58.5V-60.0V). 3. Re-insert module into shelf; if it immediately trips to solid Red OVP, module has an internal short/failure; replace the rectifier unit.
OTP (Over-Temperature Protection & Shutdown)
Alarm LED (Yellow) solid ON, Power LED (Green) blinking or OFF
Shelter/cabinet ambient temperature too high (>65°C), air intake dust filter heavily clogged, exhaust vents obstructed by cabling, or heat sink thermal accumulation
1. Check air conditioning unit in the telecom room/cabinet to ensure intake ambient temperature drops to ~25°C. 2. Remove and clean cabinet front air intake dust filters; vacuum front honeycomb ventilation holes on the module. 3. Ensure clearances at the front and rear of the shelf are unobstructed; module will auto-recover once internal heatsink cools down.
FAN_FAIL (Cooling Fan Rotor Lock / Tach Failure)
Alarm LED (Yellow) fast blinking (2Hz) or Fault LED (Red) solid ON
Fan bearing wear/seizure, foreign object obstructing fan blades, tachometer feedback wire disconnected, or internal PWM fan control circuitry failure
1. Remove module (power down safely) and visually inspect fan blades for physical obstructions; manually spin blades with an insulated tool to check resistance. 2. Check whether the 3-pin/4-pin internal fan harness is securely seated on the driver board. 3. Re-install and power on; if fan still fails to spin or continues reporting tachometer fault, replace the internal fan assembly or the entire module.
CAN_COMM_FAIL (CAN Bus Communication Lost / Current Share Imbalance)
Power LED (Green) solid ON, Alarm LED (Yellow) slow blinking (0.5Hz)
Backplane CAN communication pin oxidation/bad contact, missing 120Ω terminating resistor, CAN address collision with another module, or CSU monitor interface failure causing fallback autonomous regulation and load share imbalance >10%
1. Check the system controller (CSU) rectifier status list to see if the module ID is marked offline or conflicts with another slot. 2. Unseat the module and clean the rear CAN interface pins with isopropyl alcohol; inspect backplane receptacle for bent or recessed pins. 3. Verify the 120Ω CAN bus termination resistor switches are correctly set on the shelf backplane; re-insert firmly. If fault persists, replace the CSU or module.
