Alarms & troubleshooting

AC_FAIL (AC Input Failure / Out of Range)
Green LED OFF, Red LED Solid ON
Utility mains outage, upstream AC breaker trip, or AC input voltage outside operational threshold (<80VAC or >300VAC).
1. Measure AC phase-to-neutral voltage at the shelf slot connector using a calibrated DMM. 2. Verify the upstream AC distribution breaker status in the ACDU and reset if tripped. 3. If input voltage is within operational range (80-300VAC), unseat the module, inspect backplane connector pins for thermal damage or arcing, reseat firmly, and verify self-test sequence.
DC_OVP_LOCK (DC Output Overvoltage Lockout / HVSD)
Green LED OFF, Red LED Solid ON (Latched)
Internal regulation feedback loop failure or auxiliary bias fault causing DC bus voltage to exceed High Voltage Shutdown threshold (typically >59.5VDC), latching the rectifier off.
1. Disconnect AC input to the module or pull the module partially from the slot for at least 60 seconds to discharge internal DC bus capacitors and reset the latch. 2. Verify system controller (e.g., PSC 3 or CSU) float/boost voltage targets to ensure correct configuration. 3. Reseat module and re-energize; if red OVP LED relatches immediately, internal secondary-side regulation is compromised and the rectifier must be replaced.
OTP_SHUTDOWN (Overtemperature Protection Shutdown)
Yellow LED Flashing then Solid ON, Green LED OFF
Internal heatsink temperature exceeded upper safety limit (>105°C) caused by obstructed front air intake, extreme ambient temperature, or blocked exhaust.
1. Clean and clear the front intake perforated panel and internal dust filters; ensure at least 100mm unrestricted airflow clearance front and back. 2. Verify site HVAC and shelter temperature to ensure operating ambient is below 45°C. 3. Allow module to cool down below auto-recovery threshold (~85°C); verify that output restores automatically. If the condition persists at ambient room temp, replace internal temperature sensor or module.
FAN_FAULT (Internal Cooling Fan Failure / Stalled)
Red LED Flashing (1Hz), Yellow LED Solid ON
Internal DC brushless fan mechanical seizure, bearing failure, or tachometer speed pulse feedback signal missing/below threshold.
1. Power down the module and inspect fan impeller visually for foreign debris or cable obstruction; gently rotate blades manually to check for bearing seizure. 2. Withdraw the module and inspect the internal fan wire harness and PCB connector for loose seating or damage. 3. If free of mechanical blockage and connections are intact but fan fails to spin or clear alarm on power-up, replace the fan assembly or the entire rectifier module.
CAN_COMM_FAIL (CAN Bus Communication Loss / Sharing Error)
Yellow LED Solid ON, Green LED Solid ON (Autonomous Mode)
Physical break in the CAN bus link between rectifier and controller (PSC 3/CSU), missing/faulty termination resistor, or CAN address conflict, causing module to fall back to standalone default voltage.
1. Check controller (PSC 3) display menu to verify if the rectifier slot reports 'Offline' or 'Comm Lost'. 2. Inspect CAN bus inter-shelf cabling, RJ45 patch cords, and verify 120-ohm bus termination resistors are properly seated. 3. Reseat the rectifier firmly into its slot. If communication is not restored, swap module into a known good slot to determine whether the fault is in the internal CAN transceiver or the backplane harness.
